The Association For Psychological Type
Includes Ms. Teresa Newman in the National APT Referral Network Program
Glenview, IL - The Association For Psychological Type (APT),
an organization that promotes the study of Jungian personality
type as interpreted through the MBTI™, announces the
inclusion of Ms. Teresa Newman into the APT Referral
Network Program. The APT Referral Network is a
national database of professionals qualified to interpret the
Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and other personality type
instruments.
The MBTI was developed through a shared vision of Katherine
Briggs and daughter, Isabel Briggs Myers "to enable individuals
to grow through an understanding and appreciation of individual
differences in healthy personality and to enhance harmony
and productivity among diverse groups." Briggs and Myers believed
that Carl Jung's understanding of human development, his
theoretical model encompassing psychological type, his concept
of the process of individuation, and his strucutre of the
psyche offered the most promising approach. Their mission was to
give the indivisual access to the benefits of
this understanding.
Newman, one of over 4000 members in APT, endorses type development,
research application and the ethical use of type theory. As a
representative agent of the APT Referral Network,
Newman is available for consultation relating to the personality
type, with a specialty in one or more of the following Interest
Areas: Careers & occupations, Counseling & Psychotherapy,
Education, Management & OD, Multicultural & International
Issues, Psychological Theory and Research, Religion &
Spirituality, and Special Topic: Healthcare. For further information
